Introduction database Oracle@AWS for simplified Oracle Amabadatata migration to cloud AWS | Amazon Web Services

Polly expressed

Today we announce the general availability of the Oracle database@AWS, new offers for workload Oracle Exadata, including Oracle Real Application (RAC) clusters.

Over the past 14 years, customers have had to choose the Oracle workload in the cloud using the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) or by the fully managed Amazon Relational Datase Service (Amazon RDS) for Oracle. Now you have another option for your workload that requires an Oracle Rac or Oracle test for faster and easier cloud migration. You will also get one invoice via AWS Marketplace, which counts for AWS obligations and Oracle license benefits, including bring your own license (ByOL) and discount programs such as Oracle Rewards.

Thanks to the Oracle@AWS database, you can migrate your Oracle AMABADATATA workload to the Oracle Database Service for a reserved infrastructure or Oracle autonomous database on the AWS dedicated infrastructure with minimal change. You can buy, provide and manage Oracle Database@AWS through familiar AWS tools and interfaces such as AWS Management Console, AWS (AWS CLI) or AWS APIs for AWS applications. API APIs call the corresponding API Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) necessary to provide and manage resources.

The sale of his preview last December we improved or added features that help run the workload of production with general availability:

  • Regional expansion – Now you can use the Oracle Database@AWS in the US East (N. Virginia) and the USA West (Oregon). We also announce plans to extend to 20 AWS regions around the world. This wider availability supports the different needs of our customers across different geographical areas, so more businesses can be well in this option. You can choose from different sizes of the system to meet your workload requirements in the AWS area.
  • Backups Zero-Etl and S3 -You can delete the need to create and manage the data pipe for extract, transformation and loading from the integration of zero ETL with Amazon Redshift for analysis. With zero-a, you can unify your AWS data without income for the transfer of cross networks. We provide backup Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) with up to eleven nine data.
  • Autonomous cluster VM – Now you can provide the VM autonomous cluster in addition to the cluster VM test for AMABADATA infrastructure. Oracle Autonomous Database can be launched on reserved infrastructure of the exadata, a fully managed database environment using determined hardware and software sources.

Oracle Database@AWS Also Integrates with Other AWS Services Such As Amazon Virtual Private Cloud EventBridge for Monitoring Database Lifecycle Events, AWS Cloudformation for Infrastructure Automation, Amazon Cloudwatch for Collecting and Monitoring Metrics, And AWS Cloudtrail for API operations.

Starting with Oracle@Aws database
The Oracle@AWS database supports two key services: Oracle Database Service for reserved infrastructure and Oracle Auto -Domomous database for reserved investigation infrastructure in AWS data centers.

These services physically consist in the available AWS and Logally area located in the OCI area, allowing trouble -free integration with AWS services through high -latency high -speed connections.

Create a network of ODB, a private insulated net that hosts Oracle, examines the VM clusters in the available zone. Then use ODB peering accessible for EC2 application servers running in VPC. If you want to learn more, visit how Oracle Database@AWS works in AWS documentation.

Request private offered on AWS Marketplace

If you want to start your day using the Oracle@AWS database, visit the AWS console, or ask for the AWS Marketplace menu. Your AWS and Oracle Sales team will receive your request, then contact you and find the best option for your workload and activate your account.

When you activate and get access to the Oracle@AWS database, you can use Dashboard Creating a network of ODB, test infrastructure and examining the VM cluster or autonomous cluster VM and connection of ODB.

If you want to learn more, visit the AWS ONLATING DATABASE ORACLE DATABASE@AWS and AWS Marketplace.

Create a network ODB

The ODB network is a private insulated network that hosts the OCI infrastructure on AWS. The ODB network maps directly to the network that exists on the Child OCI, thus serving as a means of communication between AWS and OCI.

IN Dashboardchoose Create a network ODBType the network name, select the CIDR available and specific CIDR range to connect customers bound by applications, and backup connections used for automatic backups. You can also enter the name you want to use as a prefix to your domain as fixed as oraclevcn.com. For examining if you enter myhostA fully qualified domain name is myhost.oraclevcn.com.

Optionally, you can configure ODB Network access and perform automated backups to Amazon S3 and Zero-ETL for almost real-time analysis and ml on your Oracle data using Amazon Redshift.

After creating the ODB network, update your EC2 VPC routes using the EC2 application servers using the CIDR client connection in the ODB network. If you want to know more, visit ODB Network, ODB peering and configuration of VPC tables for ODB peering in AWS documentation.

Create an exadata infrastructure

Oracle examines the infrastructure, is the basic architecture of your database servers, storage servers, and networks that run your databases to explore Oracle.

Choose Create an exadata infrastructureEnter the name and use the default availability zone. In the next step you can choose Exadata.X11M For Aadata System Model. You can also set 2 or 32 database servers and 3 or up to 64 storage servers with a storage capacity of 80TB per server.

Finlly, you can configure the preferential maintenance system, such as planning, fashion repair and contacts with OI maintenance notifications. After creating from the AWS console, you can adjust the infrastructure. However, you can switch to and adjust it.

If you want to delete the exam, visit the Oracle Infrastructure Infrastructure in the Oracle@AWS database in the AWS documentation.

Create a cluster or cluster of VM outata VM

You can create VM clusters when examining infrastructure and deployment of more VM clusters with different Oracle Exama infrastructures in the same ODB network.

Here are two types of clusters of VM:

  • The VM Exadata Cluster is a virtual computer set that has a complete installation of the Oracle database, which contains all the Oracle Enterprise Edition features.
  • The VM autonomous cluster is a set of fully administered databases that tasks of auto auto management using AI/ml without the necessary human intervention.

Choose Create a cluster outata VMEnter the name of the VM cluster and the time zone, choose your own license (SEOL) or a license included for licensing options. In the next step, you can choose your test infrastructure, grid infrastructure version and exploring version. For database servers, you can choose the number of CPU core, memory and local storage for each VM or accept default values.

In the next step, you can configure the connection settings by selecting ODB network and entering the VM cluster. You can enter the port number to access TCP to a single listener for the access name (Scan). The default port is 1521 or you can enter your own scanning port in Rage 1024–8999. For key Peir SSH, enter a part of the public key of one or more key Peir used to access SSH to the VM cluster.

You can then choose diagnostics and marks, check your settings and create a VM cluster. The creation process can take up to 6 hours, depending on the size of the VM cluster.

Create and manage the Oracle database

When the VM cluster is ready, you can create and manage your databases to explore the Oracle in the OCI console. Choose Manage in OIC On the detail page of VM Amabadatata. You will be redirected to the OCI console.

When you create an Oracle database in the OCA console, you can select the Oracle 19C or 23AI database. When automatic backups for your interviewed databases can be used in the area of the OCI or OSI Object Storage. If you want to learn more, visit the Oracle Exadata database service in the Oracle@AWS database in the OIC documentation.
